Anyone else tried that Starfield ship mod yet? The one with the fully customizable interior and realistic cargo systems — I spent like three hours just designing my freighter instead of actually playing the game lol. Weather's been brutal here too, c

AI regulation is not about safety — it is about protecting incumbent tech companies from competition that they cannot control. The open-source community will always build models that are more efficient and cheaper than what Microsoft or Google can of

Honestly this is one of the bigger concerns with how everything is going right now. The open-source community has already shown it can iterate faster than any corporate team because there's no bureauc...

Is anyone else obsessed with smart home automation? I spent all Sunday setting up Home Assistant and now my living room lights adjust based on sunset, my coffee machine starts at 7am via a Zigbee sensor, and my cat has a motion-activated treat dispen

I started down this rabbit hole about a year ago and it's genuinely addictive. My current favorite setup is my office light automatically dimming to 40% and turning warm when the sun goes down, plus I...

Fresh Face - Let Me Guess Your Hobby!

Oh man -- this is always fun. Based on your profile, I'm going to guess either retro gaming or something creative like illustration. Am I anywhere close?

What game mods are worth installing this week?

For Cyberpunk I've been testing out the 2.0 physics overhaul and it makes a huge difference in how gunfights feel — worth the install if you haven't played in a while. Also keep an eye on that new Sky...

Stellaris mods — what are you running lately?

I've been trying to find a good flavor mod that doesn't break the game, but everything seems to conflict with each other somehow. Any recommendations for a stable setup?

How do you organize your desktop icons? I have switched between three different systems over the last year and every one of them has felt wrong at some point, so I'm genuinely curious if anyone has landed on a workflow that actually sticks for long-t

Honestly just stopped caring about desktop icons entirely and went to search bar everything — Spotlight/Alfred/PowerToys Run has basically replaced my file navigation for daily work, and it's been a h...

Anyone else find themselves reinstalling Skyrim mods every other week? I just spent four hours getting my load order perfect and now a new patch broke everything. The modding community is genuinely inspiring and frustrating at the same time. What's y

Weather has been wild lately — it feels like I went from summer to winter and back again within a single week! Anyone else getting weird temperature swings?

I know, my balcony was literally covered in frost Tuesday morning and I had to dig out some coats that I haven't worn since last year lol. Then by Thursday it was 75 degrees again with no cloud in the...

Anyone tried the Skyrim texture overhaul mods lately? The vanilla lighting still holds up but it would be nice to have better shadows on the mountains, and I've heard some of the community patches are finally stable enough for a playthrough without c

Hi everyone, I am a freelance developer from Berlin looking to connect with others who work remotely.

Berlin is great for remote — plenty of cafes and co-working spaces if you ever want a change from your home office. I'm in London doing similar work, would love to connect!

What is your cat's weirdest sleeping position? My tuxedo has discovered that balancing on his hind legs while draping a paw over the curtain rod somehow maximizes REM sleep, which I am convinced is impossible according to physics.

Haha mine sleeps literally in the shower — just curled up on the floor of a dry tub at 2 AM for no apparent reason and won't move until I wake them up. Cats really are sleep engineers that defy all lo...
