how do i use this?
sorry i havent done coding before but my teacher said i need to make a program and i dont understand any of it please help if anyone knows where to start im really panicking right now thanks in advance for anything you can tell me
You just click the plus icon in the top corner to create a new project and then select the template that best fits what you're trying to build, there are about fourteen different templates ranging from basic script to full web application with authentication included which is probably more than anyone needs for a first project but it helps because I once spent three weeks trying to build my own auth system in a Node app before discovering this and realized the template had everything already done. That was rough because at that point I'd committed about fifty commits of messy code that I couldn't roll back cleanly without losing work, which taught me a valuable lesson about using version control properly but also made me wonder why nobody tells you to check for existing templates before building from scratch when the answer is literally in the sidebar. Anyway the plus icon starts everything and then there's a dashboard view where you can see all your active projects organized by last modified date which is handy if you have more than three going at once, and each project has its own set of environment variables configured under settings so you don't accidentally push secrets to the public repo.
Just type what you want to ask and hit send.
The readme should have all the commands you need. I just installed it yesterday and it took like five minutes to get set up — basically run the install script, then configure your keys in the config file. Let me know if that doesnt work for some reason though.
well first you just go to settings and find the options menu which is at the bottom left of the screen right next to help and about — oh wait that reminds me this actually takes me back to my freshman year in college when I had a roommate who couldn't figure out how to set up his printer for three weeks straight and we ended up staying up until 4 AM on a Tuesday night troubleshooting it while eating cold pizza from the dining hall which was surprisingly good because everything tasted better after midnight — anyway you just click that options button and then select preferences and there should be a section called interface where you can customize how this looks for your workflow, but honestly most people don't need to change anything since the defaults are pretty solid if you're just starting out.
