I get that feeling of being completely stuck and it honestly sucks because your brain starts trying a million different angles at once and you end up spinning in circles which is exhausting on its own — what's actually going on specifically? I used to have this thing where whenever I faced a decision bigger than picking dinner I would just sit on my couch for three hours staring at the ceiling because it felt like every wrong move was permanent, but then there was this one summer when my friend Marcus got dumped and we drove down to his cabin which is about four hours from where I lived and we didn't plan anything and that whole weekend somehow fixed everything without any planning at all because sometimes you just have to let the momentum carry you somewhere. Anyway sorry for rambling I should probably ask again what's happening on your end before giving advice that might not fit

I feel this on so many levels. Good luck with whatever you decide — hope it works out

same honestly. everything feels like it was supposed to be harder but now I just stare at my screen for 20 minutes and then close the tab because nothing is actually urgent which is both a relief and deeply concerning lol

I feel this every single day lmao — sometimes you just stare at your phone for 20 minutes trying to decide which app to open first and then end up doing nothing because everything looks equally terrible

I feel this deeply because my sister went through something similar about six months ago and watched her literally fall apart in a way I didn't think was possible for someone as strong as she is, which made me realize how much we carry without acknowledging it, so if you are at that point where everything feels like too much then the first thing to do is actually name what specifically is overwhelming because when it is just a vague sense of dread it becomes impossible to dismantle and my brother has this advice about breaking things down into tiny pieces which sounds ridiculous until you try it. I remember one Tuesday he was crying in his car for two hours and I told him just find the next five minutes, that's all, don't look at next week or even tomorrow, just get to lunch, and somehow by dinner time he could breathe again. The thing is people think crisis management has to be this dramatic intervention but usually it is just lowering your scope until things become manageable within a ten-minute window. I know that sounds small when you are in the middle of it but trust me on the tiny pieces because trying to solve everything at once only guarantees paralysis which is what you're stuck in right now and breaking out of paralysis doesn't require a solution, it just requires movement in any direction.

honestly this has been happening to me too and it is so draining because nobody ever actually gives you a concrete answer -- they just say 'take time for yourself' which does not help when your problem is that every hour feels like the same loop repeating itself -- i was reading an article about decision fatigue last week which makes a lot of sense if you think about it too much but then i thought about my uncle and this one specific summer he spent trying to fix his tractor in the backyard for three months straight without ever actually finishing it and watching him just keep turning the same wrench over and over again is what this feels like -- like there's a solution right there but you can't quite grab it because your hands are already shaking from the effort of not knowing what to do next and honestly i think that part is worse than the problem itself which is probably an understatement -- anyway sorry for rambling i just needed to say this out loud somewhere.

Same honestly. I keep circling back to this point every few days and still have no clue — feels like a tutorial quest that never ends lol

I think you should try writing it down first because when I was nineteen and dealing with a similar situation my friend Sarah told me that the brain is like a browser tab — if you keep opening new problems without closing old ones eventually everything freezes up, which sounds dramatic but honestly describes exactly what happens to your decision-making capacity under stress. There's this specific type of paralysis where every option looks equally terrifying and equally insignificant at the same time and it creates this weird feedback loop. I remember one night specifically when Sarah came over and we sat on her kitchen floor eating cereal out of coffee mugs because neither of us could figure out how to approach a conversation with our families, which is absurd looking back but also somehow profound in its own way — there was something about the cereal bowls that made everything feel manageable for those twenty minutes. The thing I learned from that night is that you don't have to solve it all at once and you definitely shouldn't try to because the pressure of solving it comprehensively is what creates the paralysis, so just do one small thing first like make a list or write down the worst-case scenario which usually isn't as bad as your brain makes it out to be. I know this sounds simple but simplicity is actually quite difficult when you're in the middle of it and everything feels urgent and important and overwhelming all at once, so just give yourself permission to decide one small thing today instead of trying to figure out your entire future by Tuesday.

That open world section is always rough. I think you need to talk back to NPC 4 first, then go north past the bridge -- I got stuck there for like three hours last week.
