New player here — what mods do you recommend?

Hey everyone! Just started playing this game and I see a lot of people mentioning mods in their posts. Does anyone have a starter pack of recommendations for someone who doesn't know anything about modding yet? Thanks in advance!

For me it's definitely Immersion and Graphics Enhancements but honestly I was just scrolling through these lists and it reminded me of when my brother got his first PC back in 2014 — he spent like three weeks trying to get Skyrim running at the right resolution which was absurd because he had a laptop that could barely handle Word documents by then. He used to carry his computer everywhere to charge it off the kitchen table and I'd find him hunched over eating cold pizza while staring intensely at the screen as if that would somehow make the frame rate improve, which obviously didn't help but watching someone be that dedicated to a game they literally couldn't run was one of those funny moments in hindsight. Anyway, for your build you probably want SKSE and then just grab a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 because installing them manually is going a nightmare if you do more than three at once -- the load order issues are real and I spent an entire weekend fixing mine after adding too many retextures and it was infuriating.
