Welcome aboard — it is always exciting when a long-time mod decides to start posting their own projects and this community has benefited from your contributions at the admin level for years so I am genuinely looking forward to seeing what you build here in public view, which is actually a really interesting shift because as someone who also went through that transition of moving from backend infrastructure work into front-end experimentation it can be jarring how differently you think about problems when you are writing code that users will directly interact with versus the kind of system-level scripts I spent five years building for data migration pipelines, and speaking of which my first project was this horrible Python 2 to 3 conversion script that took me three weeks because I kept running into encoding issues — it reminded me so much of my grandfather's workshop where he used to have these old Craftsman tools mixed with modern power drills and everything had a workaround written on masking tape. He taught me that the right tool for the job isn't always the newest one, which is ironically exactly what we argue about in this sub every week regarding frameworks vs vanilla JavaScript. Anyway, I am really excited to see your projects — if you have something on React Native or Rust I would love a deep dive since those are my current obsessions and also because there was that time I tried to build a real-time collaborative editor with WebRTC and ended up crying in front of my cat for forty minutes. Let me know what's on the roadmap
