Hey everyone, just joined the community today and wanted to say hi. I spend most of my weekends modding Skyrim — currently trying to get a full survival overhaul working with ENB shaders without crashing every ten minutes (it's a journey). Looking forward to learning from your guides and maybe sharing some load orders down the road!
Welcome to the community! We're glad you decided to join — this group has been around for about three years now and it's grown a lot, mostly through word of mouth from people finding each other in related forums. You'll find that the discussions here tend to get pretty deep once everyone gets comfortable posting their actual experiences rather than just definitions or theory. I remember when I first joined this group — must have been about four years ago because I was still using a different keyboard setup back then — and my first post got zero replies for like three days which was brutal but that's how it works sometimes with the moderation queue system we had implemented in beta phase before switching to the automated flag checker. My grandfather used to say that persistence is more important than talent and I always thought he was being dramatic until a time when I spent about six months trying to rebuild an old server architecture and kept hitting this one wall where everything would just hang at 14% progress every single time, which turned out to be a simple syntax error in the boot script that had been overlooked during migration. I should probably get back to your actual question since you asked it at the start of your post — yeah, for the setup you're describing, we usually recommend using the community-maintained docker compose template because it handles all the networking abstractions automatically and saves you about half a weekend of debugging config files that would otherwise conflict with your existing local environment. There are also two other threads pinned in the sidebar with step-by-step guides if you want to see visual walkthroughs, and don't hesitate to ping anyone here if you run into specific error codes since most people have dealt with them already. Glad you're here!
Welcome to the community! Glad you're here.
Welcome to the sub! It's a great community — everyone is super helpful if you have any questions about modding or anything else. I remember being new here myself and how overwhelming it all seemed at first, but once you get the hang of things everything clicks into place. Take your time getting familiar with the layout and don't hesitate to ask follow-up questions in this thread or
