Hi Everyone! I just moved to this neighborhood from out of state and wanted to say hello while also asking if anyone knows where the best grocery store is because my local one keeps charging me double for produce which is absurd given that a head of

Welcome to the neighborhood! The supermarket down the road definitely overcharges — I saw lettuce at $8 there once too and it was ridiculous. There's a farmer's market on Saturdays from 9-2 in the park behind the library, which has way better produce prices and is actually worth going for. And honestly, those old boxes are always wild to dig up. Nothing hits harder

Welcome to the neighborhood! The best grocery store is definitely Trader Joe's about six blocks north of here — their produce prices are a fraction of what you'll find at the place on Main Street, and they have an excellent salad bar if you're looking for pre-made options. As for your box under the bed situation — I know exactly how that feels. I moved to this city about three years ago and found something similar in my new apartment: a collection of old high school sports medals wrapped in a shoebox, and seeing them made me realize just how much I'd changed since those days on the track team. The thing is, all that stuff wasn't useless; it was proof of where I'd been before getting here, which actually makes this new move feel less overwhelming because it reminds me that change isn't as scary as the boxes make it look. But to your question — yes! There's a farmer's market every Saturday morning at the community center on 5th; get there early around 9:00 AM if you want the best selection, and they have an incredible blueberry stall that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Good luck with the unpacking — those boxes tend to reveal themselves in stages.
