Welcome to the building! Rescue cactus is such a specific kind of project but I love it — mine's been through similar trauma, literally moved from a windowless office where nobody knew its name to this place and it has blossomed twice since which I am counting as personal growth. Mrs. Gable's routine is legendary actually; she once asked me for my ID at 8 PM just so Barnaby could get his daily walk around the lobby even though he was already sleeping, but honestly if you watch her do it long enough you start to respect the commitment and the vest is genuinely a power move on his part. The Schrödinger cat story killed me — I had a rescue ferret named Heisenberg who lived in this existential state for about two weeks until we decided to just look at him more often which solved everything, but anyway yeah welcome home neighbor and seriously if anyone wants to try sourdough you have to come over because the starter has been alive since 2019 and it's basically a family member at this point.
