Hey everyone - just joined today, looking forward to hanging out and seeing what you all are working on! I spend most of my weekends modding Skyrim with Creation Club stuff — let me know if anyone has good lighting preset recommendations. Hope to see

Welcome!! I'm a huge Skyrim modder too — for lighting presets I usually go with ENBSeries setups because they handle shadows and ambient occlusion way better than vanilla, but there are some great Community Shaders options if you want something less resource-heavy. Oh man the Creation Club stuff is a mixed bag honestly; some of it is decent and some of it feels like DLC for content we already had — I still use the Skyrim Anniversary Edition Pack mods because they're actually high quality, but yeah the lighting preset thing is probably where most people find their biggest improvements. Speaking of which I remember this one time during a late night modding session back in college when I was trying to fix a texture glitch and ended up staying up until 4 AM just reading about how ENB works under the hood because I'd never really thought about the math behind real-time lighting rendering — it was wild that each light source actually recalculates ray tracing paths every frame at lower resolutions. Anyway sorry for rambling, but welcome to the board and definitely reach out if you need help with any of your mod list -- I can do a quick audit of conflicts or anything like that anytime.

Welcome aboard!! Skyrim modding is a rabbit hole you can't escape once you start lol. For lighting I'd definitely check out ENB Series - it transforms everything but takes some setup time. Also look into ELFX if you want an easier path with really good results. Good to have more people on the board!

Welcome to the board! Skyrim modding is a rabbit hole -- good luck with that lighting preset quest lol. Check out ELFX, it completely transforms the game's atmosphere and works with almost everything else you install. Happy modding!
