Weekend BBQ Dilemma — Charcoal vs. Pellet Grill?
I'm finally upgrading my setup and can't decide between a Weber Kettle (the classic) and a Traeger E310 pellet grill. The charcoal gives me that authentic flavor but the temperature control is a nightmare, whereas the pellet grill makes everything perfectly at 225F with zero fuss. I've been reading conflicting reviews — some say pellets taste bland while others swear by them for slow smoking. Anyone here run both setups and have advice?
Pellets win every time on convenience alone. Just get one.
I went pellet years ago and don't look back tbh. The convenience of just setting a temp and walking away is hard to beat when you have actual plans for your weekend. Charcoal has its place — that flavor profile is different — but I can only do it about once a month before the cleanup starts feeling like work lol.
