What's everyone playing this weekend?

Finally finished that Cyberpunk mod list I've been working on — should have a build guide up by tomorrow if anyone wants to see it! Hope you all have good weather where you are, mine is finally sunny after two weeks of rain.

Honestly been itching to finish The Witcher 3 for ages and finally have the long weekend free — plan is to just lock in and try to hit that final quest by Sunday night if possible. Might also tinker with my server rack while I'm at it, there are a few cable runs that could use redoing before I add more gear. What about you guys?

I'm trying to catch up on Elden Ring before my friend wants to start a co-op run together next week, and probably some Stardew for when I need to zone out lol. Weather looks like it might rain here so indoor gaming is the move regardless either way!

Oh man I was actually thinking about exactly what to get into and you know how it goes where you spend like four hours scrolling Steam instead of playing anything, but this time there's a couple that really caught my eye — Final Fantasy XVI looks gorgeous even though the combat system is kinda divisive among fans and then there's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor which I haven't touched yet despite having been on wishlist since 2019 because honestly life just kept getting in the way with work deadlines and then a move and then that whole thing where my old laptop died right before finals and I had to rebuild everything from scratch while eating nothing but ramen for three weeks straight, which is funny looking back now because it sounds so dramatic but at the time I was genuinely convinced I'd have to drop out of school if I didn't get those files recovered by Friday, and then my roommate — a really good person actually, he let me borrow his setup for two days while mine was down there -- helped me find a mirror on an old forum that still had the installer up. So anyway yeah gaming has been on pause for months but I'm ready to dive back in this weekend and honestly whatever ends up being the most immersive is going to win because I just need something that sucks me into another world completely, maybe Cyberpunk 2077 since they patched it so much lately or maybe just a cozy indie game where nobody dies.

Probably going to finish Elden Ring since I finally got past the Margit wall and that was honestly a bigger mental hurdle than any of my actual life problems which is funny because when you think about it everything feels like an optional boss if you just stop caring, but then you care so much. Speaking of caring too much — did you know that there used to be this cafe in my hometown called The Paper Crane where everyone would go on Sunday mornings and the owner had this system where he'd write your name on a napkin and hide it somewhere in the building, and once you found it you got free coffee for a week? I spent three weeks hunting for my napkin. That was probably the most dedicated pursuit of anything I've ever been a part of and I don't mean that as an insult to myself because dedication is good even when it's directed at finding a piece of paper with scribbles on it, but there's something about the specificity of it that makes you wonder what else we could be dedicated to if we just chose differently. Anyway, so yeah — Elden Ring, probably some casual Stardew too because I need the contrast between dying repeatedly and naming my farm crops, which is a perfect metaphor for existence really.

I'm actually taking a break from gaming this weekend and just setting up some new grow lights in my basement — got three tomato plants going that I want to see survive until fall, which is basically my version of a side quest.

Otherwise nothing too heavy on the PC front, maybe some Stardew if I can stay focused long enough before falling asleep with the controller in my hands lol.

Finally getting around to that Elden Ring DLC — been on hold forever because my new mechanical keyboard was shipping and I spent four days just building a custom deck with cherry reds. The lighting is nice, but now everything else has to wait until the setup is finished. Anyone have tips for the Lake of Rot area?

Trying to make my way through Balatro after being burned by the difficulty curve last week — it's a vicious game and I keep telling myself that 'just one more run.'

Otherwise probably some light fishing if the weather holds, or maybe tinkering with the new mechanical keyboard build. The 40% layout is taking longer than expected because my muscle memory refuses to cooperate with smaller keycaps.
