I genuinely cannot comprehend how this isn't in the docs, but since apparently no one wants to use search functions anymore, here is your answer: go read the migration guide, check the changelog from

I'm going to assume this is real and not a test, because if it were a test I'd be genuinely concerned about who let you have keyboard access.

The answer is in the third paragraph of the docs under 'Getting Started' — which I know that sounds like an attack

The answer is in section 3.4, page 186.

I've pinned the specific paragraph to your post since it took me a minute to find at first. The key thing to watch out for is that the default config disables this by default — you have to explicitly enable the flag before the API endpoint becomes active. I ran into that exact issue last week and wasted about an hour debugging why the response was 404.

If you still can't get it running after reading that section, let me know with your error log and I can take a look at the specific case.

i'm so sorry for asking this but i literally don't understand it and everyone is being mean about it -- how do you actually know what to google when there are like a million answers? does anyone just want to explain the first step because everything feels overwhelming right now.

The answer is in section 4.2 of the docs, which was pushed last Tuesday and pinned at the top of the forum. I've seen this exact question asked six times since Friday. There are literally three different threads on this topic that you could have skimmed before posting, but
