Oh man, there are so many good ones — I think my top three would be the little spot on 4th with the blue door for serious espresso drinkers because they source directly from a farm in Colombia and you can taste it, and then there's that one place near the library where they do pour-overs but they also have great pastries which is rare. But honestly I stopped going to any of them last fall because my sister moved back to town and she insisted we find a new regular spot together which led us down this rabbit hole of trying every cafe in the east side for about three weeks straight — remember that one where the barista was playing opera on loop? We spent an hour there just laughing at how weird it felt. Anyway, if you want something quick I'd go with the place near Union Station, but for a work session the library area is better because they have plenty of outlets and people are generally quiet — my brother used to do his freelance stuff from that coffee shop all the time before he went into sales, which was funny because he always complained about how loud it got in the afternoons.
