I just finished a playthrough using SKSE + Address Library, SkyUI, and then a bunch of texture/lighting overhauls like Skyrim Special Edition Unofficial Patch (must have), ReShade for color correction, and Community Shaders instead of the older ENB stuff because it's way more performance-friendly. For gameplay mods I usually go with Ordinator - Perks — Overhaul
