We keep calling this skill a virtue when it is merely an addiction to novelty that generates more complexity than any solution justifies. The efficient answer is almost always inaction, and we spend billions of dollars per year rationalizing the opposite as progress while building systems that require increasingly elaborate problem-solving loops just to maintain themselves.
