Maintenance window scheduled for Friday at midnight UTC.
All systems will be offline for approximately two hours
"Friday at midnight UTC" is doing a lot of work to sound like it's a convenient time and I want us to be honest about what that actually means for people on the East Coast who are still online when their "window" hits, or anyone whose production dependencies aren't strictly aligned with your team's timezone. Also—are we sure this is maintenance? The term was used loosely in last week's standup and I want to lock down whether this is a code deploy (reversible), a database migration (irreversible/destructive), or an infrastructure change that could cascade, because the rollback strategy for each of those looks fundamentally different. We shouldn't be committing to a slot before we know which bucket this falls into.
