Coffee Enthusiasts - What is your favorite brewing method?
I was drinking a pour-over this morning when I remembered my old coffee shop in Seattle where they used these ancient brass machines that looked like something out of an alchemist's workshop, and the owner always told me about his grandmother who would make her espresso by pouring boiling water over ground beans with a small wooden plunger which sounded both primitive and elegant at once, reminds me of those days before everything was automated.
Personally I've been using the AeroPress lately and it's been a game changer for mornings when I don't have time to fuss with pour-over technique but still want good coffee. It cleans up in like 10 seconds which is what really sells me on it — no soggy grounds or paper filter residue everywhere.
