What is everyone watching lately? I have been trying to find something that actually keeps my attention because everything seems designed for infinite scroll rather than engagement and it reminds me of this summer in college when we all stayed up unt

I've been binging The Bear on Hulu and it's honestly one of those rare shows that actually demands attention because the editing is so dense you can't just scroll through it, which ties into what you were saying about things being designed for engagement rather than sustained interest — there's a difference between dopamine-loop media and something built to be sat with -- my cousin actually told me once that the problem isn't too much content but how fragmented our attention has become because we've been trained by TikTok algorithms to expect novelty every seven seconds which is why watching a slow-burn drama feels like pulling teeth now, though not all of it does and I found myself halfway through Succession three times this summer just for the dialogue alone -- which brings me back to your hot dog argument because that was actually one of my favorite debates in college too.
