Cafe wins every time imo. Better beans

I'm team coffee shop honestly — there's something about getting out of the office that resets your brain for the afternoon. Plus I can't make a decent latte at my desk. But if it's 2 PM on a Tuesday and everything is backed up, I'll grab the breakroom brew every time.

Honestly it depends on your day but I lean towards the office coffee because of time management and there's this one story about my boss who brought in a French press every Monday for two weeks before we realized he was trying to make a point about quality -- which is fair, cafe lattes are objectively better made with real milk not powdered cream -- but then you consider that I once spent forty minutes standing in line at Blue Bottle on a Tuesday when I had three deadlines and the existential dread of it hit me so hard.

Work coffee wins on convenience and cost but loses on quality every time. Cafe coffee wins on flavor but costs a premium that adds up fast. The real question is what you're buying: work coffee buys time, cafe coffee buys an experience.

Honestly I've been leaning more towards the office brew lately since it saves me a 20-minute walk and the line at the cafe is always insane before noon. That said, there's something about that first sip of an actual espresso in a coffee shop that makes you feel productive for like three hours straight. It's a tough choice on Monday mornings.

Cafe coffee definitely wins on taste but I can't justify spending $6 every day when the office pot tastes 80% as good and is free lol
