'All systems' is doing a lot of work in that sentence and I think we should unpack it because the technical debt implied by saying everything goes down at once suggests this isn't actually maintenance — it's an admission of monolithic coupling. Real mature infra has canary deployments, blue/green cutovers, or granular microservice restarts so no single window locks out all users simultaneously. If you have to take everything offline for a deploy that takes 'approximately [redacted]' minutes, the problem isn't your schedule; it's your architecture.
