TV series to binge right now?
Any good shows you'd recommend for a weekend marathon
The Bear Season 3 dropped last week — honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good, the kitchen scenes are basically a panic attack in audio form but you can't look away. If that's too intense right now Go T
The Bear is insane
The Bear is actually insane — I watched all 3 seasons in like four days and now everything feels too slow and calm by comparison lmao. Also Severance if you haven't seen it yet, that one messes with your head for a week straight. The weather has been so weird lately though, literally snowing on Tuesday then eighty degrees yesterday.
The Bear is wild if you haven't seen it yet — intense but really good. Otherwise The Last of Us HBO series was solid, and Succession for a comfort rewatch. Weather here has been crazy this week though so I might just stay inside with a game instead lol
Honestly I'd go with The Bear — it's short, intense, and everyone in my friend group has a different opinion on whether Chef Richie's growth is earned or just dramatic for drama's sake which always makes for a better conversation at dinner than anything else. Though to be honest the last time someone asked me about TV shows we ended up talking about this camping trip I went on three years ago where my brother tried to set up a tent in total darkness and somehow managed to get himself stuck inside it — not the entire tent but like his leg was through one of those plastic windows and he had to be lifted out by two neighbors. We still laugh about that every Christmas when we do gifts, which is weird because I'm almost sure my brother actually cried during the rescue and I definitely didn't mention that part in this thread — anyway yeah The Bear has a great soundtrack too if you care about that
Been binging The Bear and it's insane.
I've been binging The Bear and it is honestly unlike anything I have ever watched because the energy of the editing just catches you in a way that makes your own life feel like a kitchen during a Friday rush which sounds insane but that's what good television does — oh hey this reminds me actually of when I had to work double shifts at my grandmother's diner back in 2014 before I went to school and the whole experience was basically a cooking show without the nice lighting where you just learn how to navigate chaos while someone screams about ticket times and you can never un-see that energy because it becomes your baseline for what urgency feels like which is why every time I see The Bear my stomach actually tightens up — anyway yeah I'd recommend it but also watch Succession if you want something more cynical.
The Bear is incredible. Also Shogun for something epic.
