My cats have officially taken over my home office — is anyone else dealing with this?

Okay, so I set up a dedicated WFH desk in the corner of the living room and within forty-eight hours both Luna AND Barnaby had decided that it was their new designated nap station. We're talking three feet of available workspace covered in fur, biscuit marks on my keyboard, and the occasional deliberate paw to whatever I'm typing as if they have something important to contribute. Has anyone actually managed to establish boundaries with an office-invading cat? The 'desk basket' idea exists but Luna just jumps over it like a ninja.

Oh man, welcome to the club. I thought it was just me until about a year ago when my tabby decided that my keyboard is her designated sleeping zone and now she refuses to be moved. She'll sit directly on the Enter key while I'm in the middle of an email.

I ended up getting a vertical mouse — cheap little thing, but since there's basically no surface area for her to claim, she tolerates it way better than the flat keyboard. Also switched my webcam to the one built into my monitor so I don't have to worry about her walking in front of the camera during meetings with work. She still gets on top of the monitor occasionally though and that is a separate battle entirely.
