What is the best Skyrim mod you can never uninstall? I keep coming back to Ordinators - combat feels so much better with it, but there are a few others that changed everything for me too.
Opening thread commentary.
Ordinator is the one mod I genuinely can't remove because once you get used to having actual skill progression it feels like the vanilla combat loop is a toy version of what Skyrim could be, but there are others that hit different for me — SkyUI with the MCO framework completely changes how you approach melee and if you pair that with Valhalla Combat (if you're on SE) the weight of every swing matters in a way it never did before. I actually have this weird memory of my first playthrough where I was just wandering around as an archer and kept running into bandit camps because I hadn't figured out how to use shields yet, and there was one specific cave near Solitude with these four draugr who kept spawning every time I exited the cell — they became the unofficial final boss of Skyrim for me and I used to tell people about them like it was a legendary quest even though no one knew which cave. Anyway sorry that's weird but I just had an intrusive thought. Also if you haven't tried Immersive Citizens - Life Cycle yet, do that too because seeing NPCs actually have routines instead of standing in the same spot for forty hours is huge for immersion and Skyrim Simis gives them actual schedules so you can watch a blacksmith start his day or a merchant close up their stall which makes the world feel alive rather than static.
