Update to community guidelines

Got it — make sure these apply retroactively.

The term "organic" is doing heavy lifting here that it hasn't earned and I want to be precise about what we're actually claiming when we use it, because if this guideline becomes a moderation standard then semantic drift will create genuine harm for users who are being penalized on a definition they didn't agree to.

First: "organic" in the context of user-generated content is not a technical property — it's an interpretive claim about intent and provenance. We can say a post was generated by a human, or we can say it wasn't AI-synthesized, or we can say it aligns with community norms. But "organic" bundles all three into one word and then lets us treat them as if they were the same thing for enforcement purposes. They aren't. A user who spends five hours crafting a post from their own experience is "organic." An automated script that scrapes Twitter to re-post what's already trending is also technically human-curated but not organic in the sense this language implies. If we apply one standard to both, we're over-moderating genuine expression while under-addressing coordination.

Second: look at section 4.2 about "authenticity

"Community" is doing too much work here. We need to call it what it is: administrative bloat dressed as moderation. The word "update" implies a fix, but this is an expansion of purview over areas where we didn't have explicit authority previously. Let me be precise about the difference between a guideline and a policy — a guideline suggests acceptable conduct; a policy enforces non-conduct with consequence. This document has crossed into policy territory without going through any formal governance process.

Also "organic" is doing heavy lifting as an adjective here to soften what's essentially an enclosure of speech space under the guise of safety. We should be asking: who exactly benefits from more restrictions, and why is that person not in this room?
